DIA/DAY 5 - 28/02/2017
Hoje tomámos o pequeno almoço por volta das 6h, para abalarmos para Cracóvia, Polónia, às 6:45h. Chegámos lá eram mais ou menos 10h da manhã, e de seguida fomos ao Castelo Royal Wawel, com uma torre magnífica e um vasto anfiteatro. Depois fomos para o centro, onde tivemos um espaço de tempo para almoçarmos onde quiséssemos.
Após o almoço, apanhámos o autocarro até Wieliczka, onde fomos à Mina do Sal, que para chegarmos lá abaixo, foram 378 degraus para descer, mas para subir já pudemos subir de elevador. Nesta mina, existe uma Catedral construída pelos mineiros há anos atrás, um processo que demorou 6 anos, e que aos fins de semana são feitas cerimónias de casamentos mesmo lá em baixo!
Voltámos para Frídek-Místek e fomos jantar fora com o professor Petr num restaurante aqui por perto, e fomos para casa descansar.

Today we ate breakfast at around 6 o'clock to leave to Krakow, Poland, at 6:45 p.m. We got there about 10 a.m., and then we went to the Royal Wawel Castle, with a magnificent tower and a vast amphitheater. Then we went downtown, where we had time to have lunch wherever we wanted to.
After lunch, we took the bus to Wieliczka, where we went to the Salt Mine. To get down there, there were 378 steps down, but to get up we were able to use the elevator. In this mine, there is a Cathedral built by the miners years ago, a process that took 6 years, and that at the weekends there are wedding ceremonies down there!
We went back to Frýdek-Místek and went to dinner with Professor Petr in a restaurant nearby, and went home to rest.
DIA/DAY 4 - 27/02/2017
Tomámos o pequeno almoço com o professor Petr Volnik, que é o nosso professor orientador checo, por volta das 7:45h na cantina da Escola Secundária onde estamos alojados e depois de comermos, tivemos uma "manhã livre" e aproveitámos parte dela pra trabalhar no blog e perto das 11:00h alguns de nós foram a um mini-mercado para petiscar antes do almoço.
Fomos almoçar por volta da 13:00h com o professor que está encarregue de toda a secção de Informática da escola.
Às 14h, tivemos uma pequena reunião com o senhor Diretor da escola, correu tudo super bem e fomos recebidos bem e atenciosamente. Depois, pelas 15h da tarde, três alunos do professor Petr fizeram-nos uma vieira guiada a Místek, e também a Frydek, separados por um rio, onde conseguimos ir ao Castelo de Frydek e observar Místek praticamente todo a partir daí. Voltámos para perto de casa e fomos a um bar para conviver com os nossos três novos colegas, e de seguida jantámos numa pizzaria, também perto de casa. Voltámos para casa e fomos dormir.

We had breakfast with Professor Petr Volnik, who is our Czech tutor, at around 7:45 a.m. in the high school canteen and after we had lunch, we had a "free morning" and we took part of it to work on the Blog and around 11:00 pm some of us went to a mini market to grab a snack before lunch.
We went to have lunch at around 1:00 pm with the teacher who is in charge of the whole section of Informatics of the school.
At 2:00 pm, we had a small meeting with the Headmaster of the school, everything went very well.. Then at three o'clock in the afternoon, three of Professor Petr's pupils made us a guided tour to Místek, and also to Frýdek which are separated by a river, where we were able to go to Frýdek Castle and observe the entire Místek from there. We went back to the dorms and went to a coffee bar to socialize with our three new colleagues, and then we had dinner at a pizzaria, also close to home. We went home and went to sleep.

DIA/DAY 3 - 26/02/2017
Depois de acordarmos, fomos a um supermercado chamado "Tesco" que tinha uma grande variedade de alimentos: todos os tipos, de diversas marcas, preços super económicos. Voltámos ao apartamento para tomar o pequeno almoço que comprámos no supermercado. Entretanto fomos fazendo as malas.
Depois era suposto irmos a uma biblioteca com o nome "Klementinum", mas infelizmente estava fechada, por isso, fomos ao Museu da Apple. O bilhete não foi nada caro e foi uma boa experiência, podemos ver a evolução dos produtos da Apple ao longo dos anos, é bastante interessante e vale mesmo a pena ir a este museu.
Depois, já com as malas feitas, deixámos o apartamento e fomos almoçar ao Burguer King e de seguida fomos para a ferroviária de Praga para apanharmos o comboio para Hranice às 15:44h.
Chegámos por volta das 18:30h e apanhámos um autocarro até ao Hotel Cementar, e jantámos num restaurante logo ao pé do hotel. Após o jantar, fomos no mesmo autocarro até Frydek-Mystek e ficámos alojados na escola secundária, onde fomos super bem recebidos e acomodados, e fomos dormir depois das apresentações e organização dos planos, por volta da 00h.

After waking up, we went to a supermarket called "Tesco" which had a wide variety of foods: all kinds, various brands, super economical prices. We went back to the apartment to have the breakfast we bought at the supermarket. Meanwhile we went to pack our bags.
Later we were supposed to go to a library called "Klementinum", but unfortunately it was closed, so we went to the Apple Museum. The ticket was not expensive at all and it was a good experience, we could see the evolution of Apple products over the years, it was quite interesting and worth going to this museum.
Then, with our bags packed, we left the apartment and went to have lunch at Burger King, and then we went to the Prague railway to catch the train to Hranice at 15:44h.
We arrived around 18:30h and got by bus to the Hotel Cementar, and had dinner at a restaurant just around the corner. After dinner, we went on the very same bus to Frydek-Místek and stayed in a secondary school dorms, where we were well welcomed and accommodated, and then we went to sleep after the presentations and talking about how our schedule would be, at around 00h

DIA/DAY 2 - 25/02/2017
Após uma noite bem passada, saímos de casa por volta das 8:30h da manhã e fomos tomar o pequeno almoço ao MacDonalds. Depois de comermos, fomos passear por algumas ruas antigas de Praga, e de seguida fomos ao Castelo de Praga. Voltámos para o centro após a visita do Castelo e fomos comprar bilhetes para a Torre de Orloj, o famoso relógio astronómico. Esta Torre tem uma vista panorâmica magnífica.
Na hora de almoço, alguns foram ao mercado comprar comida para fazer em casa, porém, eu e mais três colegas fomos comprar pizzas para comer em casa com tranquilidade.
Durante a tarde estivemos a explorar a cidade, entrámos em várias lojas, para ficar a conhecer melhor essa parte de Praga.
À noite, fomos todos jantar a um restaurante que servia apenas comida tradicional do país, e, foi-nos servido uma perna de porco do tamanho do prato. Depois de comermos, voltámos a explorar mais um pouco da cidade, que à noite fica espetacular, e voltámos para o apartamento por volta das 22:00h e fomos dormir.

After a good and resting night, we left the apartment around 8:30 a.m. and took breakfast at MacDonalds. After we had breakfast, we strolled through some of Prague's old streets, and then headed to Prague Castle. We returned to the center after the visit of the Castle and went to buy tickets for the Tower of Orloj, the famous astronomical clock. This tower has a magnificent panoramic view. At lunch time, some went to the market to buy food to make at home, but I and three other colleagues went to buy pizza to eat at home in peace, without having to cook! During the afternoon we were exploring the city, we went into several shops, to get to know this part of Prague better. In the evening we were all eating dinner at a restaurant that served only traditional czech food, and we were served a pork leg that had the size of the dish. After we finished eating dinner, we went back to explore some more of the city, which at night is spectacular, and we returned to the apartment around 10:00 pm and went to sleep.

DIA/DAY 1 - 24/02/2017
Depois da chegada ao aeroporto de faro, isto às 4:00h da manhã, fizemos o check-in, despedida de mães e 'hasta'. Apanhámos o avião às 6:05h com destino a Lisboa, após a chegada (aproximadamente às 7:00h) ficámos no terminal do aeroporto à espera do voo com destino Praga por volta das 13h, entretanto almoçámos no Mac e apanhámos o voo.
Chegámos a Praga às 17:30h hora local e apanhámos um transfer do aeroporto até ao "Apartment Konvict", onde vamos passar duas noites. Quando chegámos, fomos despachar-nos para o jantar e fomos todos ao Burguer King, e depois fomos dar uma volta pelas ruas da capital e voltámos para casa por volta das 22:00h da noite hora local, depois fomos dormir.

Percurso em Praga
Ilha dos Atiradores
Ilha dos Atiradores, localizada no centro de Praga, tem um clima agradável, relva bem tratada e, também, vegetação não em demasia. Já existente desde o séc. XII, foram feitos vários festivais de dança e também atividades relacionadas com o tiro que, praticados ao longo do tempo, vieram a dar o nome da ilha. Tornou-se um local de sossego e conforto, com um óptimo panorama.

Ilha dos Atiradores, which is situated in the center of Prague, consists of a nice and peaceful climate, well-treated grass, and also, it doesn't have too much vegetation. There have been made lots of dance festivals and also shooting related activities since the XII century. Those activities ended up naming the island. It became a quiet and comfortable place to be, also with great panoramic sights.

Catedral de S. Vito
A Catedral de S. Vito situa-se no topo de um monte, na margem esquerda do Rio Vltava, que atravessa a cidade velha de Praga. Esta Catedral faz parte do interior do Castelo de Praga. Por fora, podemos observar as gárgulas em forma de estátua, e por dentro da Catedral, existem algumas tumbas com a respectiva história checa. A melhor parte é podermos subir ao topo do sino, que é a parte mais alta do Castelo, e essa é uma vista que não gostava de perder!

S. Vito's Cathedral stands on the top of a hill, by the left side of Rio Vltava, which goes through the old Prague town. It lays inside of the Castle of Prague. From the outside, we can watch the gargoyle stone figures, and then in the inside of the Cathedral, there are some graves and their history. The best part of it is that we can walk up to the top of the bell tower, which is the highest part of the Castle. And that's a view I wouldn't like to miss!

Praça da Cidade Velha
Apesar de ser um local muito movimentado, esta praça é um dos sítios que gostaria de visitar. Tem uma boa variedade de restaurantes, museus, lojas, bares, entre outros. Os edifícios são interessantes, apesar de parecem velhos, têm um estilo diferente, numa boa maneira. Aqui, iria provavelmente entrar em todos os bares e os restaurantes, claro.

Altough being a very busy place, Praça da Cidade Velha is one of the places I'd like to walk around and explore. It has lots of restaurants, museums, shops, pubs, and more. The buildings are quite interesting, in spite of looking old, they consist of a different style of building, in a good way. I'd probably go in all the pubs and restaurants, of course.

Ponte Carlos
A Ponte Carlos sofreu várias alterações ao longo dos anos, e, aos poucos, tornou-se no símbolo da cidade e claro, uma das suas principais atrações. A torre da Ponte de Carlos está bem decorada com várias esculturas misteriosas. Esta ponte tem uma galeria de esculturas, que são cópias atualmente, o que acho super interessante para explorar.

Ponte Carlos suffered lots of changes in the past, and it slowly became the simbol of the city Prague and of course, one of its main attractions. Ponte Carlos's tower is nicely decorated with several mysterious sculptures. Ponte Carlos has a gallery of sculptures, which are currently copies, that I find super cool to explore.

Petrin Hill
Petrin Hill é um espaço verde que tem uma torre, inspirada na Torre Eiffel e é vista praticamente de toda a cidade. Sendo possível subir ao topo da torre de elevador, era uma experiência boa e com uma óptima vista. Ainda em Petrin Hill, existe uma casa de espelhos que distorce a nossa imagem, e tem um bom labirinto que retrata a batalha dos Checos contra a Invasão Sueca na Ponte Carlos. Também não iria deixar de explorar as áreas verdes claro.

Petrin Hill is a green area that has a tower on it, inspired on the Eiffel Tower, and it can be seen mostly from the entire city. Since its possible to use the elevator to get to the top of the tower, it'd be a great experience with a great view aswell. Still in Petrin Hill, there is a house of mirrors that make our bodies look twisted, and also has a maze that shows the battle of Czech against the swedish invasion by Ponte Carlos. At last but not least, I would keep exploring the green areas of it, of course!

Mála Strana
Mála Strana é o nome de uma região da cidade que fica no entorno do Castelo de Praga. Uma das atrações mais interessantes, talvez não para muitos, é a Parede de Lennon (Lennon Wall) que é um muro grafitado em homenagem a John Lennon. Acho bastante interessante pois cada pessoa tem o seu desenho de homenagem.
Mála Strana is the name of a region of Prague that is located around the Castle of Prague. Perhaps not for many, but one of the most exciting attractions here is the Lennon Wall, which is basically a graffiti wall named after John Lennon. I find it very quite interesting because each person has his drawing to pay homage to John Lennon.

Monumento Cultural Nacional Vyšehrad
Vyšehrad é um conjunto de Igrejas e Capelas, monumentos e ruínas de construções romanas, de onde se consegue ter uma vista perfeita da cidade de Praga. Situa-se acima do Rio Vltava e é um sitio menos movimentado e calmo, o ideal para passar o final da tarde. Além disso, é um local com muito mistério, por exemplo, grades subterrâneas que abrigam e guardam algumas estátuas originais da Ponte Carlos.

Vyšehrad is a set of churches and chapels, monuments and ruins of Roman buildings, from where you can get a perfect view of the city of Prague. It's situated above the Vltava River and is a quiet and less crowded place, the "chill" way to spend the afternoon. Besides that, it's a place with a lot of mistery, such as underground casements housing some of the original statues from Ponte Carlos.
