DIAS/DAYS 13,14,15 - 08/03/2017_10/03/2017

Estes três dias foram todos dias de trabalho. De manhã eu e o meu colega Pedro começávamos o trabalho às 7:55h e acabávamos à 13:30h, depois íamos a um supermercado perto dos dormitórios e comprávamos comida para o almoço, e comíamos no nosso quarto nos dormitórios. Durante o trabalho, foram dias em que trabalhámos no primeiro projecto, que depois apresentámos a diferentes turmas da escola onde estávamos a trabalhar, em inglês claro. Tivemos tempo também para estarmos com umas amigas que estavam a fazer um documentário acerca do projecto meu e do Pedro e também tivemos algumas actividades, tal como jogar airsoft com uns colegas checos.

All of these days were work days. I and my colleague Pedro started to work at 7:55am and it ended at 1:30pm, then we would go to a supermarket close to our dorms and we bought lunch, and we would eat in our room back in the dorms. During work, these were days where we worked on our first project, whose project we presentated using PowerPoint to different classes from the school we were working in, presentations in english, of course! We also had time to hang out with some friends from InfoTech that were working on a documentary about me and Pedro's project, and we performed some activities too, such as playing airsoft with some of our czech friends.

DIA/DAY 12 - 07/03/2017

Saímos de casa e apanhámos o autocarro em direção a Hranice para apanhar os nossos colegas de Loulé e também os de Torres Vedras, e fomos para Olomouc, e fomos ao Centro Regional de Tecnologias e Materiais Avançados. Foram-nos mostrados microscópios super potentes, mais algumas máquinas muito sofisticadas e também uns ímanes com uma grande força magnética mesmo! Depois fomos almoçar à universidade Palacky de Olomouc, e logo de seguida tivemos uma breve apresentação da escola e dos cursos que se pode frequentar lá. Tivemos depois uma visita guiada à volta da universidade, por um guia que conseguiu explicar muito bem todos os pontos mais importantes, ele levou-nos à Catedral de S. Wenceslas, e ainda demos uma volta pela cidade.

We left the dorms and took the bus towards Hranice to pick up our colleagues from Loulé and also those from Torres Vedras, and we went to Olomouc, to the Regional Center of Technologies and Advanced Materials. We were shown super powerful microscopes, plus some very sophisticated machines and also magnets with a great magnetic force! Then we had lunch at Palacky University in Olomouc, and shortly afterwards we had a brief presentation of the school and the courses that can be attended there. We then had a guided tour around the university, by a guide who was able to explain all the most important things very well, he took us to St. Wenceslas Cathedral, and we even went for a walk around the city.

DIA/DAY 11 - 06/03/2017

Hoje foi dia de estágio, acordei às 6h da manhã para estar no local de estágio às 7:55h. Eu e o meu colega de estágio Pedro tivemos a melhorar o nosso projecto, fizemos algumas revisões de como poderíamos explicar melhor aos alunos quando a apresentação oral chegasse. Alguns alunos mostraram-nos alguns trabalhos feitos usando o PLC (Programmable Logic Computer), eram trabalhos muito interessantes! Depois do estágio terminar, fomos almoçar, e às 17h fomos a Frídek, de autocarro, que demorou uns 5 minutos. Fomos a um bar com alguns alunos checos, jogámos matraquilhos, snooker e depois voltei de táxi para casa e fui dormir.

Today was an internship work day, I woke up at 6am to be at the workplace at 7:55am. I and my classmate Pedro had to improve our project, we did some revisions of how we could explain better to the students when the oral presentation comes up. Some students showed us some work done using the PLC (Programmable Logic Computer), they were very interesting projects! After work, we had lunch, and at five o'clock we went to Frídek by bus, which took about 5 minutes. We went to a bar with some Czech pupils, played table football, snooker and then went back home by taxi and went to sleep.

DIA/DAY 10 - 05/03/2017

Fomos a Ostrava hoje, saímos de casa por volta das 8:30h e assim que chegámos fomos visitar a New Town Hall, sendo esta a maior torre de Ostrava, com 85 metros de altura, tem uma vista espectacular onde se consegue ver praticamente toda a cidade. De seguida, fizemos uma visita guiada por várias partes da cidade, e a guia foi explicando cada parte, como era antes e como é actualmente, consegui perceber as diferenças.
Por volta das 12h parámos no centro da cidade e fui almoçar a uma pizzaria. Depois de comer, fomos todos ao museu Ostravské e também um museu de motas antigas, super bem estimadas e super interessantes! Depois apanhámos um autocarro que nos levou até a uma mina de carvão, onde tivemos um guia que nos explicou todas as secções da mina, e como funcionavam as máquinas e o que as mesmas faziam. Fiquei interessado no facto de que Hitler apoderou-se da mina nos anos 40, aproveitando-se do trabalho árduo dos mineiros. Voltámos para casa e fui dormir.

We went to Ostrava today, we left the dorms around 8:30 and as soon as we arrived there we went to New Town Hall, being the biggest tower of Ostrava, 85 meters high, it has a spectacular view where you can see all the city. Then we took a guided tour of various parts of the city, and the guide explained each part, as it was before and as it is today, I was able to understand the differences. At around 12am we stopped in the center of the city and had lunch at a pizzeria. After eating, we went to the Ostravské museum and also a museum of old, super interesting motorbikes! Then we took a bus that took us to a coal mine, where we had a guide who explained all the sections of the mine, and how the machines worked and what they did. I was interested in the fact that Hitler got over the mine in the 1940s, taking advantage of the hard work of the miners. We went home and went to sleep.
